Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make oft special
tax bills in favor of the contractor Hunter Brothers Construction C6pany for
the within mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the ity of
Jefferson,Missouri , relative to said kind. of work and in accordancelwith the
f Charter of said City in regard to said work.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take ef{'ect and be in force fl om and

AN ORDINANCE. LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE L TS OR
} FRACKS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABU`T'TING ON THE ROADWAY OF GORDON STREET FROM
ELIVI STREET TO COTTAGE LANE IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR HE IMPROVE
` WENT OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY GRADING, CURBING AND GUTTERING AND PAVI G WITH
ASPHALT MACADAM.

j BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CCUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
l Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate an cost
price• per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this ordinance, a ainst
the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the ro 'dway of
Gordon Streets from Elm Street to Cottage Lane in the city of Jeff rson,
Missouri„ for the improvement of the roadway Gordon Street aforesai , in-
cluding such grading as may be necessary for the reception of a cem nt side-
walk, the sum of x'3602. 60 as the total costs of the improvement of aid street
and the number of front feet, fronting or abutting said raodway of s id Gordon
street aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 434.0 r= ing feet;
the cost price per running foot is $8. 30ng.
Section 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of saidlroadway
of G1°don Street, from Elm Street to Cottage Lane there is hereby 1 vied
and assessed the stun of 48.3009 as a special tax against each front I�ifoot
of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Cordon Street between the
i aforesaid streets, and contained. in such lot or niece of ground fro Ling or
abutting said improved roadway of said Gordon Street, from Elm Str st to
( Cottage Lane.
Section 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the escription
of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each side o Gordon
Street from rlm Street to Cottage Lane and the number of front feet owned by
each owner or owners and contained in the lots or trp.cts of land so owned
