SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA
SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 – 7:30 P.M.
Pursuant to Section 42 of Executive Order N-08-21, issued by Governor Newson on
June 11, 2021, cities are allowed to hold City Council meetings via teleconferencing and
members of the public can observe and address the meeting telephonically or
electronically.

• AGEND A ITEM: at the time the Council considers the agenda item;
• NON-AGENDA ITEM: at the time for PUBLIC COMMENTS. Please note that while
the City Council values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, the Council cannot
take action on any item not listed on the agenda;
• PUBLIC HEARING: at the time for public hearings under PUBLIC HEARING.
PUBLIC COMMENT CAN BE MADE BY FOLLOWING THE PROTOCOLS BELOW:

passcode: 788155. Your microphone will be unmuted during one of the comment
period outlined above. Please request to be added to the speaker list and you will be
called upon to make a comment; or
• Email comments to cityclerk@templecity.us and identify the item you wish to
comment in the subject line. Emails will be accepted after the start of the meeting
and before the Mayor closes public comment at the end of the meeting. Emailed
comments will be read aloud by the City Clerk for up to three minutes.

5. NEW BUSINESS
A. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION TO ALLOW CITY
COUNCIL MEETINGS TO BE HELD REMOTELY, CONSISTENT WITH
ASSEMBLY BILL 361
The City Council is asked to consider the safety and procedural issues involved
in continuing to hold remote meetings pursuant to AB 361.
Presenter: City Manager
Recommendation:
1. Discuss the continued use of teleconferencing or videoconferencing for Brown
Act-covered public meetings of the City Council and City commissions; and
2. Either adopt attached Resolution No. 21-5558 to authorize the continued use
of such technology for meetings for a period of 30 days, or take no action.
6. ADJOURNMENT
I hereby certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that the
foregoing agenda was posted on the Civic Center bulletin board not less than 24 hours
prior to the meeting.
