RESOLUTION N0.12-85
WHEREAS, there presently exists a serious and hazardous
traffic congestion problem in the intersecton complex made up
of Loop 820, SH 121, SH 26, FM 1938; and
WHEREAS, the City of North Richland Hills, working to-
gether with the District Office of the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation, is petitioning the State
Highway Commission for improvements to the above described
intersection complex; and
WHEREAS, the above described intersection complex con-
stitutes one of the most serious and hazardous traffic bottle-
necks in Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, the City of North Richland Hills has agreed to
redirect the frontage road on Loop 820 to one-way per the
Highway Department's request; and
WHEREAS, improvements are essential to the orderly and
safe flow of traffic in this portion of Northeast Tarrant
County.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Richland Hills do hereby petition the
State Department of Highways and Public Transportation to
authorize the design of an interchange system at this location
and to approve funding for said interchange on September 26th,
1985, at the Highway Commission Meeting.
