Air ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF
i( HART STREET IN THE BLOCK FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF
!; HART STREET AND mCCARTY TO THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF
HART STREET AND MILLER IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, mISSOUR I, BY
I� PAVING WITH PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE..
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
r FOLLONYSi
SECTION i. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on
February 4th, 1957, necessary to pave with. portland cement
concrete the roadway of Hart Street in the block from the center
of the intersection of Hart Street and McCarty Street to the
center of the intersection of Hart Street and Miller Street and
It appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been
duly published according to the law for more than seven (7)
'i consecutive insertions in the Post-Tribune a daily newspaper,
printed and published In the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a �
majority of the resident owners of property along said section
j� of Hart Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who
own a majority of the front feet on said Hart Street intended to
be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest
�I against said contemplated improvement.
SECTION 2. That the said road of Hart Street from inter-
section of Hart Street and McCarty Street to the intersection II
of Hart Street and Miller Street in accordance with the plans
II and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed in
the office of the City Clerk and that the total cost of the work
it aforesaid saall be charged and levied as a special assessment
I; against the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplate
improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as
I� provided in the City Charter, and in Sections 826. 8279 8289
ff and 829 of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of I
Jefferson, Missouri, 19569 and of the Revised Statutes of the i
State .of Missouri, 1949 and amendments thereto* I
SECTION 3, The City Engineer is hereby instructed to I
advertise for bids for this improvement.
