(h) The first, second and third motors on the east side o
Madloon Street, north of the north curb of High street.
The following parking meters spaces shall be used only for '
thirty (30) minute parking, and the parking teeters opposite said
spaces shall be thirty minute parking meters. To use any thirty
(30) minute parking teeter space, the sum of five (.O59) cents shall
be deposited in said motor:
(a) All parking meters located on both sides of Madison t
:street and between High Street and the alley lying between and
rtenning parallel to High Street and Capitol Avenue, exceptin� the

and (f) above, and with the exceptions provided for in Ordnance

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 6239 OF THE CITY OF JEFFER
SON, MIa30T3Ri, WHICH AUTHORIZED THE MAYOR TO APPOINT A COMMITTEE
OF TER QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON TO BE DESIGNATED
AS THE CITIZENS WATERWORKS COMMITTEE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 'l. Ordinance Number 6239 of the City of Jeffersoa
Missouri„ which authorised the Mayor of Jefferson City to appoint
acommittoe of ten qualified voters of the City of Jeffersog,, and
which proscribed the duties of the said citizens as a Citizens
Waterworks Comittee, be and the same is hereby repealed. ,
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect
from -and after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 6435
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCES .NUMBERS 6255, 62960 6297 and
6302 PERTAINING TO THE SALARIES AND C CMPENSATION OF ALL ELECTIVE
OFFICIALS, APPOINTIVE OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF '
JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI, AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE PERTAINING
TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, {
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinances Numbers 6255, 62969 6297 and 6302
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, pertaining to the salaries and
compensation of all elective officials, appointive officials and
employees of the City of Jefferson City, Missouri , be and the same,
to hereby repealed.
Section 2. Compensation of elective officials. Hereafter!
the total compensation to be paid to the elective officials of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri , for the performance of their duties

prescribed by law, shall be as follows: �~'
Erna (a) The Mayor shall receive the sum of Two Hundred ($200.00)
Dollars per month.
In addition to the salary mentioned above, the Mayor shall ;;
receive the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars per month as an expense:
account for his office. i

(b) The Marshal shall receive tho sum of Three Hundred and
Seventy Five ($375.00) Dollars ner month.
(c) The City Attorney shall receive the sum of Three Hundred
and Twenty Five ($325.00) Dollars per month. it
(d) The Police Judge shall receive the sum of Two Hundred and
Eighty ($280.00) Dollars per month.
(e) The City Treasurer shall receive the sum of One Hundred
($100.00) Dollars per month.
(f) The City Assessor shall receive fees equal to two-thirds
(2/3) of those paid to the county assessor for the merchants and
manufacturer's lists returned and for making assessments and
returns of lists on personal oroperty.
(g) The City Collector shall receive as compensation on the
annual tax collected the following:
On the first Forty Thousand ($409000.00) Dollars collected,
four (4%) per cent.
On the second Forty Thousand ($401000.00) Dollars collects
three (3%) per cent.
On all scans collected over and above the sum of Eighty
Thousand ($80,000.00) Dollars, including delinquent taxes, he
shall receive two (2%) per cent.
In addition to the above, .he shall receive on all delinque t
taxes-the sum bf"four (4%) per cent, which shalltbe added,to the
amount owed by the delinquent taxpayer and shall be paid by the
person paying the taxes.
(h) Members of the City Council shall receive the sum of
Seventy Five ($75.00) Dollars per month.
In addition to the amount mentioned above, each member of
the City Council shall be entitled to the sum of Twenty Five
(t25.00) Dollars per month as expense money to cover the cost of
their automobiles in attending meetings. (I
The above amounts shall be the total compensation of the
aforesaid officials for the performance of their official duties
and is in lieu of all salaries and allowances now being received
by them for the same.
Section 3. Compensation of appointive officials and employees.
Hereafter the total compensation to be paid to the appointive
officials and employees of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for
the performance of their duties as prescribed by law shall be
paid as follows.
(a) The City Clerk shall receive the sum of Three Hundred and
Ninety ($390.00) Dollars per month.
(b) The Welfare Worker and ex-officio City Clerk shall receive
the sum of Two Hundred and Sixty Five ($265.00) Dollars per month.
(c ) The City Engineer shall receive the sum of Four Hundred
($400.00) Dollars per month.
(d) The Street Commissioner shall receive the sum of Three
Hundred and Seventy Five ($375.00) Dollars per month and the use
of a city owned automobile in the performance of his duties,

(f) Tho Chief Inspector of the City of Jefferson, and the l

(g) The E1ectPical Inspector shall receive the sum of Two
Hundrede, and Eighty ($280.00) Dollars per month.
(h) The Plumbing Inspector shall receive the sum of Two Hundred
and Eighty ($280.00) Dollars per month.
10) The License Inspector shall receive the sum of Fifty

Q) The Milk Inspector shall receive the scan of Three Hundred I
and Twenty Five ($325.00) Dollars per month. f

(k) The Health Officer shall receive the sum of Two Hundred !
and Seventy P'ive ($275.00) Dollars per month.
(1) The Airport Maintenance Man shall receive the sum of One
Hundred and Fifty ($150.00) Dollars per month.
(m) The Janitor of the City Hall shall receive the sum of Two
Hundred and Thirty Five ($235.00) Dollars per month.
(n) The Humane Officer shall receive the sum of Two Hundred
and Sixty Five ($265.00) Dollars per month, and the use of a city
owned automobile in the performance of his duties.
y (o) The City Weighmaster shall receive the sum of One Hundred
and Fifty ($150.00) Dollars per month.

(p) The Caretaker of the City Dump shall receive the sum of
Thirty (030,00) Dollars per month.
(q) The General Custodian of the City Cemetery shall receive
the sum of Twenty Five ($25.00) Dollars per month.

(r) The Fire Chief shall receive the sum of Three Hundred and
(Fifty ($350.00) Dollars per month.
i (s) The Assistant Fire Chiefs shall receive the sum of Three
Hundred ($300.00) Dollars per month. 1
(t) The Fire Inspector shall receive the sum of Three Hundred
and Twenty Five ($325.00) Dollars per month.
W) The Fire Captains shall receive the sum of Two Hundred and
Ninety ($290.00) Dollars per month. `

(v) The Regular Firemen shall receive the sum of Two Hundred
and Eighty ($280.00) Dollars per month.
(w) The Assistant Police Chief shall receive the sum of Two
undred and Ninety ($290.00) Dollars per month.
(x) The Desk Sergeant shall receive the sum of Two Hundred and
Ninety ($290.00) Dollars per month. I`
(y) The Traffic Sergeant shall receive the sum of Three Hundred'
! ($300.00) Dollars per month.
(z) The Regular Patrolmen and Traffic Officers in the Police
epartment shall receive the sum of Two Hundred and Eighty ($280.00) 11
Dollars per month. �)

(aa) Temporary Policemen shall receive the sum of Five and
One-Half ($5.50) Dollars per day.
