AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND I�
DISCONTINUING AS A PUBLIC THOROU:HFARE A THIRTEEN FOOT TEN AND
ONEyHA.LF INCH ALLEY AS SHOWN ON A PLAT OF SUBDIVISION OF INLOTS
969 THROUGH 976 INCLUSIVE, PFR PLAT OF RECORD IN PLAT BOOK ONE AT I
PAGE ELEVEN, SAIr ALLEY BEING BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY LOT FOURTEENS
AND ON THE WEST BY LOTS NINETEEN, TWENTY, TWENTY-ONE AND TWENTY-
TWO OF SAIL PLAT, AND AITTHORIZING THE MAYOR. AND THE CITY CLERK OF
THE CITY 'OF JEFFER°ON, MISSOURI, TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER ALL
NECESSARY INSTRUMENTS TO THE OWNERS OF ABUTTING PROPERTY TOUCHING
ON SAID ALLEY TO CONFIRM ANP APPROVE THE REVERSIONARY RIGHTS OF
THE SAID ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS IN AND TO THE LAND HEREIN
VACATED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Whereas, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri , that the owners of land touching upon and
abutting the property hereinafter to be specifically described,
have used, improved and occupied and are now using and occupying
the land adjacent to the land hereinafter to be described, and
whereas said land hereinafter to be described has ceased to be
of any use or benefit as a public thoroughfare to the people of it
the City of Jefferson, and whereas it would not inconvenience the
public or the City of Jefferson, Missouri , to discontinue the use
of and vacate the land hereinafter to be described as a public
thoroughfare, now therefore:
I
Section 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient
to vacate and discontinue as a public thoroughfare the following
specifically described property:
"A Thirteen foot Ten and One-Half Inch (13 foot 10i inch) alle
as shown on a plat of a Subdivision of Inlots 969 through 976
inclusive, per plat of record in Plat Book One at Page Eleven,
Cole County Recorder's Office, said alley being bounded on the
east by Lot fourteen and on the west by lots nineteen, twenty,
twenty-one and twenty-two of said plat of said Subdivision of
Inlots 969 through 976 inclusive. "
Section 2. The owners of the property and land abutting on
and adjacent to the above described land heretofore used as an
alley have petitioned the Council to vacate and discontinue the I
use of the above described land as a public thoroughfare of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri , and s^id land, as above described, I
is hereby vacated and forever discontinued as a public alley
and a public thoroughfare.

Section 3. The power and right of reversion in and to the above
described land, hereinbefore vacated and discontinued as a publicly
alley and thoroughfare , in favor of the abutting land owners, as f
