iSection 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete materiel, Four
feet in width, Three feet back from face of curb, on the wort side 1;
( of Jackson Street, between Woodlawn and Union Streets , and abutting;;
1110 feet on Jackson, owned by EugRne 9. & Helen Morris Reed, be i'
lconstructed and built within thirty days from the service of a copy'!
of this ordinance on the owner of the property hereinabove
described.
Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this
ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City
Marshal a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal
shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the
owner or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to
siad owner or owners or by leaving it with some member of his
family over the age of 15 ,years, making his return on another copy
1 of said ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the
City Clerk.
Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail
to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its charter
and ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a
special tax bill against said property for the cost of the
construction of said sidewalk, which said specialtax bill will be
a lien against the property above described.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
f from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF
CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, THREE FEET BACK FROM
FACE OF CURB, ON THE WEST SIDE OF JACKSON STREET, BETWEEN WOODLAWN
AND UNION STREETS, I.ND ABUTTING 50 FEET ON JACKSON STREET OWNED BY
JAMES OWEN RHOADS AND BETTY LUCILLE RHOADS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a. sidewalk of cement concrete material, Four
I feet in width, three feet back from .face of curb, on the west side
of Jackson Street, between Woodlawn and Union Streets, and abutting
50 feet on Jackson Street, owned by James Owen Rhoads and Betty
Lucille Rhoads, be constructed and built within thirty days from
the service of a copy of this ordinance on the owner of the
property hereinabove described.
Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this ordin-
