HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD06461 SECTION II: Any person, firm or corporation desiring to obtain a permit 1�or the purposes mentioned in the preceding section shall make and file n application with the Building Commissioner, which application shall et out the name and Address of applicant; the busines in which the Ipplicant is engaged; the purpose for which the permit is sought; and such other Ord further information as is herein specified. I SECTION III: The applicant shall execute an affidavit that it shall hold charmless the City of Jefferson, Missouri, from any and all claims demands Fr judgments growing out of any injury or damage to person or property arising ut of applicant*s failure to exercise ordinary care in any of its operations pon the city streets, alleys, public places or right of way authorized under his ordinances . SECTION IV: When the application, affidavit to hold harmless and proper fee, as herein provided, have been filed with the Building Commissioner, if, in 11 respects they are in proper order, he shall issue to applicant a permit to ae the right of way above and below the surface of all streets, alleys and ublic places, for the purposes mentioned in the application: However, before roceding with the installation of facilities or the commencement of business nder such permit, the holder shall comply with Section Five (5) and Six (6) ereof. SECTION V: Before the holder of such permit shall commence business or hall commence the installation of .facilities under permit authorized by this rdinance, it shall file with the Building Commissioner a certificate of nsuranee certifying that it has in effect a policy of insurance insuring it gainst legal liability to pedestrians, motorists and others properly using he city streets, alleys and public places. Said policy of insurance shall be n the minimum amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) for injuries r damages to the person or property of any one person and Fifty Thousand ollars ($50,000.00) for all injuries and damages arising out of any one ccident. SECTION VI: Prior to the installation of any wires, cables, poles or 1:)ther apparatus or appliances over or beneath an}, street, alley or public place 9.4ithin the city, the holder of such permit shall file with the Building ommissioner a map or plat showing the proposed location of all facilities upon he city right of way; which map or plat shall be approved by the Building ,ommissioner before such installation shall be made. All such installations hall be of a permanent nature, durable and installed in accordance with good ngineering practice; and shall comply with all existing city regulations, rdinances and state laws. SECTION VII: Such permit shall be assignable by the holder thereof to uch persons, firms or corporations as could qualify as applicants for such permit. SECTION VIII: The fee for the granting of such application and issuance 13f a permit shall be Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) and such initial permit hall be valid for the remainder of the calendar year. The renewal fee for uch permit on the first of each successive year shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00) ayable by the 20th day of January. In addition to such initial fee and enewal fee, a fee of one half of one percent (1/27.) of the gross receipts to he holder of the permit for services rendered under such permit; which dditional fee kshall be paid annually and shall be due on or before the 20th ay of January for the preceding calendar year. OF CAPTAIN IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT,, DESIGNATING THE NUMBER OF CAPTAINS, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING THE RANK OF SERGEANT AND DESIGNATING THE NUMBER OF SERGEANTS, CREATING AND MABLISHING THE RANK OF CORPORAL AND DESIGNATING THE NUMBER OF CORPORALS, AND HORIZING THE CITY MARSHALL TO APPOINT MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO BE ESIGNATED, CAPTAINS, SERGEANTS AND CORPORALS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND RESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SAID APPOINTEES.
