1STREET IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 6473 f
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF HALL
STREET IN THE BLOCK FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF HALL ST T
AND CASTLE DRIVE TO THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF HALL STREET
AND WEST CURB LINE OF MEIER DRIVE IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUR ,
BY PAVING WITH PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by
the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on
April 16th 1957 necessary to pave with Portland Cement Concrete the
roadway of Hall Street in the block from the center of the inter-
section of Hall Street and Castle Drive to the center of the inter-
section of Hall Street and West curb line of Meier Drive and it i
appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly I�
published according to the law for more than seven (7) ' consecutive
( insertions, in the Post-Tribune a daily newspaper, printed and �
1published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of
the resident owners of property along said section of Hall Street
liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a majority
of the front feet on said Hall Street intended to be improved, have
not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said contemplated
improvement.
Section 2. That the said road of Hall Street, from the inter- II
section of Hall Street and Castle Drive to intersection of Hall
Street and the west curb line of Meier Drive in accordance with
the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and
filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of
the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special tax
lbills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter,
and in Sections 826, 827, 828, 829 of Chapter 10 of the Revised �
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, and of the
Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 1959, and amendments
thereto l
Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to l
( advertise for bids for this improvement. l
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
.force from and after its passage and approval.
