If you have overhead wires, please note that only underwire species of trees will be planted. Please also note, species availability may change at any time and some species may not be available. If you have a preferred species, please make at least two species choices. We will do our best to accommodate your original request. Please note, trees planted in front yards will be cared for by the city for one year after their planting. After the one-year timeframe expires maintenance will be the responsibility of the property owner. This form will put the above location on a list to be inspected and considered for tree planting. Determination is made at the time of site inspection as to suitability and need for a tree at that site by the Tree Warden. Many variables go into choosing the correct spot and type of tree for a particular street tree planting. We ask people who have requested and received trees, planted on town land near their home or within their street facing yards, to donate $95.00 per tree to our Tree Fund. This amount is a fraction of the cost of planting a tree, but it helps the City plant more trees and pay for other items required to manage our urban forest. Participation in this program is not required and in no way will affect the planting of a tree.
