Ellis Is/ ?resident of e Council Mayor ttest: � 1 City ClerE f �i3TREET IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE N0. 6487 N ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF MANILLAI EET IN THE BLOCK FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF MANILLA EET AND RIDGEWOOD DRIVE TO THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF NILLA STREET AND A POINT 350 FEET NORTH OF RIDGEWOOD DRIVE IN THE ITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY PAVING WITH PENETRATION BITUMINOUS CADAM. E IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: ECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the ity Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on May 6th 1957 ecessary to pave with penetration bituminous madadam the roadway f Manilla Street in the block from the center of the intersection f Manilla Street and Ridgewood Drive to the center of the inter- action of Manilla Street and a point 350 feet north of Ridgewood rive and it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has een duly published according to the law for more than seven (7) onsecutive insertions, in the Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper, rinted and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident owners of property along said section of anilla Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who wn amajority of the front feet on said Manilla Street interided to e improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against aid contemplated improvement. ECTION 2. That the said road of Manilla Street, from Ridgewood rive to a point 350 feet north of Ridgewood Drive in accordance ith the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer nd filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost f the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special ssessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on said ontemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be' issued heref or, as provided in the City Charter, and in Sections 826, 827, 28, and 829 of Chapter 10, of the Revised Ordinances of the City f Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, and of the Revised Statutes of the �ltate of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto. ECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for this improvement. ECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from nd after its passage and approval.
