RESOLUTION N0. 17-85
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE NECESSITY OF
ACQUIRING CERTAIN LAND FOR THE WIDENING AND
IMPROVEMENT OF GLENVIEW DRIVE IN THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
I.
That it is hereby found and determined that a public
necessity requires that Glenview Drive from State Highway No. 26
to Booth Calloway Road in the City of Richland Hills, Texas, be
widened and improved, and that the City of Richland Hills should
acquire fee simple title and a Temporary Easement in and to the
parcel(s) of land set out in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made
a part hereof by reference, which is the property necessary for
such widening and improvements to Glenview Drive.
II.
That the property described in Exhibit "A" is owned by
the parties named therein and is hereby determined to be
necessary for said above mentioned project.
III.
That the City through its duly authorized
representatives, has negotiated with the owners of the property
described in Exhibit "A" and has been unable to agree with such
owners as to the fair cash market value thereof.
IV.
That the City of Richland Hills determines to
appropriate the interest described in Section I hereof in said
property for the purposes above described by the exercise of the
right of eminent domain as set forth in V.T.C.A., Property Code,
Section 21.001 et seq., and the provisions of the Constitution
and Statutes of the State of Texas authorizing the condemnation
of property.

That the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to file or cause to be filed against all owners and
lienholders, proceedings in eminent domain to acquire the
interests for said purposes described above.
VI.
That this resolution shall take effect from and after
its passage as provided by law.
Presented and passed on the `9th day of December, 1985,
by a vote of ~ ayes and ~ nays at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, xas.

the W.W. Wallace Survey, Abstract No. 1606, and
being a part of the tract of land conveyed to
B.W. Giles and wife, Marlene Giles by deed re-
corded in Volume 6819, Page 1805 of the Deed.
