11ORDINANCE NO. 6525
An ordinance levying and assessing a special tax bill against the II
lots or tracks of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of f
Thompson Street, from the east property line of Southwest Blvd.
to a point 815 feet east thereof in the City of Jefferson, Missouri
for the improvement of the said roadway by grading, curbing and
guttering and paving with protland cement concrete.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and I
cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this
ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tnacts of land fronting or
abutting on the roadway of Thompson Street, from the east property II
line of Southwest Boulevard to a point 815 feet east thereof in thel
City of Jeffersn, Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway
Thompson Street aforesaid, including such grading as may be necessary
for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of $11,484.98 as I
the total costs of the improvement of said street and the number ofI
front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said Thompson
Street aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 1630.0
running feet; the cost price per running foot is $7.046. yyI
SECTION 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said
roadway of Thompson Street, from the east property line of Southwes ,
Boulevard to a point 815 feet east thereof there is hereby levied
and assessed the sum of $7.046 as a special tax against each front
foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Thompson Street
between the aforesaid streets, and contained in such lot or piece
of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway of said
Thompson Street, from the east property line of Southwest Boulevard
to a point 815 feet east thereof.
SECTION- 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the
description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on
each side of Thompson Street from the east property line of Southwe t
Boulevard to a point 815 feet east there of and the number of fron
feet owned by each owner or owners and containted in the lots or
tracts of land so owned and abutting said block or street between
the aforesaid streets and the cost price per front foo� for said
improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as a special
tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground I
fronting or abutting said Thompson Street or the roadway from the
center of the intersection of Thompson Street and the east property
line of Southwest Boulevard to a poitit 815 feet east thereof.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make
out special tax bills in favor of the contractor E.P. Barnett for
the within mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative to said kind of work and in
accordance with the Charter of said City in regard to said work.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
