Ellis President of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NUMBER 6528 An Ordinance levying and assessing a special tax against each lot or piece of ground lying between and situate within the bounds of Sewer District No . 50 "E" in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, in the name of the owner or owners thereof for constructing and completing sewers therein. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: It appearing from the written report of the City Engine the officer in charge of the work of construction and completing seu rs, , in Sewer District No . 50 "E" , in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, heretofore submitted by said officer to the City Council and approved and filed by it on this 7th day of October, 1957, at a regular meeting of the City Council held on this date, that the total cost of construction and completing of said sewer as con- 1 structed, amounts to the sum of $1.0,353.920 and it further appearing that said report of said officer did apportion said costs against tbB several lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 50 "E", exclusive of streets in proportion to the area of the whole of said _ District No. 50 "E" exclusive of the public highways, and it further appearing that the total number of square feet contained in the aggregate number of lots and pieces of ground situated in the said Sewer District Nu. 50 "E" , exclusive of the public highways therein amounts to 647, 120.0 square feet. And it ' further appear- ing from the said report that on proper apportionment of said costs such lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 50 "E" , so situated, each square foot of ground contained in said lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District no. 50 "E" is chargeable wit6 the sum of $0.016 per square foot. Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of construct- ion and completion of sewers in said Sewer District No. 50 "E" together with all necessary laterals, inlets, catch basins, manhole , and other necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, there is hereby levied and assessed against the several and hereinafter described lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of said Sewer District No. 50 "EY, situated in the name of the respective name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground, a special tax at the rate of $0 .016 per square foot for each and every square foot of ground so situated as aforesaid. SECTION 2. Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned and referred to in Section 1 of this Ordinance, against which a special tax bill is specified in Section 1 of this ordinance is levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and the descrip l- ion of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of the owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or piece of ground in said Sewer District No. 50 "E" situated in the name of the owner or owners thereof, the number of square feet owned by each property holder in the lots or pieces of ground owned by each owner in said Sewer District No. 50 "E" is as follows: NNE L.
