N ORDINANCE VACATING AND DISCONTINUING AS A CITY PUBLIC SPRING, A i
PRING AS LOCATED ON CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND WITHIN THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, FOR AND ON BEHAL
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY INSTRUMENTS TO
CONFIRM THE REVERSIONARY RIGHTS TO THE LAND HEREIN VACATED TO THE
BUTTING PROPERTY OWNER, BEING ANNA H. SWIFT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
IS90URI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Whereas Anna H. Swift has petitioned the City Council
to vacate and discontinue as a public city spring a certain spring
located on hereinafter specifically described land because said
spring is dry and of no public benefit to the citizens of the City,
and whereas the City Council is aware that the spring is no longer
sable by the citizens of the city and has not been used for many
Years, and
Section 2. Whereas the City Council feels that the vacation and
discontinuance of said spring would not detrimentally affect the
interests of the City or the citizens thereof, now therefore:
Section 3. The City Council hereby vacates and discontinues as
public city spring the spring as located on the following
escribed land within the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missou
All that part of Lot No . 16 in Block 4 of Fairacres
Addition to the City of Jefferson, per plat of record
in Plat Book No. 2 at Page 28, Cole County Recorder' s
Office, shown and described on said plat as a spring,
and more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot No. 16;
thence south along the west line thereof 25.0 feet;
thence east parallel with the north line of said lot
12.0 feet ; thence north parallel with the west line of
said lot 25.0 feet; to the north line thereof; thence
west along the said north line 12.0 feet to the point
of beginning.
Section 4. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson
re hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf
f the City all necessary instruments in writing to confirm in the
butting property owner, Anna H. Swift, all of her reversionary
nterests in and to the spring and the tract of land as above
escribed.
