ORDINANCE NO. 6540
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING, AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE
NUMBER 5880 WITH REFERENCE TO CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND
BY REZONING SAID LAND FROM A DISTRICT "A-1" SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT TO A DISTRICT "A-2" SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT.
Whereas the City Council by a motion, properly made and seconded
did refer to the Planning and Zoning Commission the matter of the
rezoning of the hereinafter specifically described land for its
study, consideration' and recommendation, and
Whereas the Planning and Zoning Commission, after a public hearing,
study and consideration did recommend to the City Council that
the land involved not be rezoned, and
Whereas, the City Council by a motion, properly made and seconded,
did instruct the City Attorney to advertise a notice of a Council
hearing concerning the possible rezoning of the hereinafter
specifically described land, and
Whereas all interested parties have been notified that the City
Council would hold a public hearing at 8:00 p.m. on the evening of
November 4th, 1957, at the Council Chamber within the City Hall at
which time they might voice their support or opposition to the
proposed rezoning and possible amendment, modification or change in t
the zoning map of the City of Jefferson, as amended, said notification
of hearing having been published in the Jefferson City Post Tribune
a newspaper of general circulation within the city on three
consecutive days more than fifteen days previous to said meeting,
and
Whereas, the City Council has conducted such hearing and given all
interested parties an opportunity to be heard, now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE -CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Zoning Map, as incorporated into the terms of
Ordinance Number 5880 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby
amended, modified and changed to reflect the rezoning of the
following described land from its present "A-1" Single Family
Dwelling District to an "A-2" Single Family Dwelling District:
"A part of Outlot No . 98 in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, .
more particularly described as:
Beginning at a point that stand. north 418 .5 feet of the
south line of baid Outlot No. 98 and 20.0 feet west of
the east line of said Outlot No. 98 ; thence northerly
parallel to the easterly line of said Outlot 230.0 feet;
thence westerly parallel to the southerly line of said
Outlot 1300.8 feet to the westerly line of said Outlot;
thence southerly along and with the westerly line of said
Outlot 290.0 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 30 Block
1 of Winston Heights Subdivision as platted and recorded in
Book 4 at Page 68, Cole County Recorder's Office; thence
easterly along and with the northerly line of Winston Heights
Subdivision to the northwest corner of Lot 5 Block 1 of said
