An Ordinance of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, vacating and I
discontinuing as a public thoroughfare all of that portion of
Mesa Avenue, as shown on the Plat of Southwood Hills Addition �f
in Plat Book 4 at Page 70 Cole County Recorder' s Office, which
lies between the westerly right of way line of Jackson Street
and another line which intersects and passes through Mesa Avenue,
said line being located as follows: A line starting on the south-
east corner of Lot 15 of Southwood Hills Addition and running to
a point on the north line of Lot 25 which is 172.0 feet east of
the northwest corner thereof - - and directing the Mayor and the
City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri to execute: all the
necessary instruments to the owners of the abutting property in
order to confirm and approve the reversionary rights of the said
abutting property owners to the land hereby vacated.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Whereas it teas been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, that the owner of all the real estate which
touches and abuts on that portion of Mesa Avenue hereinafter to
be described is desirous of having the hereinafter described part
of said street vacated, so that he can offer a re-subdivision of
Southwood Hills Addition and locate Mesa Avenue in a more desireabl
and feasible location thereonand
Whereas the hereinafter described portion of Mesa Avenue, sought
to be vacated, has ceased to be of any use of- benefit as a public
thoroughfare and since it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to discontinue or vacate
the hereinafter described portion of Mesa Avenue as a public street �I
and thoroughfare, now therefore:
Section 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of the (�
City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient to
vacate and discontinue as a public -thoroughfare all of that portion
of Mesa Street, as shown on the plat of Southwood Hills Addition
in Plat Book 4 at Page 70, Cole County Recorder' s Office, which is
hereinafter described as follows: j

"All that portion of Mesa Avenue which lies between the
westerly right of way line of Jackson Street and another
line which intersects and passes through and across Mesa
Avenue, said line being described as follows: A line
starting at the southeast corner of Lot 15 of Southwood
Hills Addition and runing to a point on the north line of
Lot 25 which is 172.0 feet east of the northwest corner
thereof." i
Section 2. The power and right of reversion to said portion of
Mesa Avenue to the adjacent and abutting property owners, as is now
provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, is hereby fully and
completely affirmed and approved.

Section 3. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and ti
directed to execute and deliver all proper and sufficient deeds
or instruments, for, on behalf of, and in the name of the City, to
fully and completely transfer and establish to the adjacent and
abutting property owners theft legal rights in connection with the I�
above mentioned vacation.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinanceb in conflich with 'f
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
