AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 60 -23 AMENDING
AUTOMOBILE PARKING REQUIREMENTS, ACCESS
WIDTH TO DWELLING UNITS ON THE SAME LOT
AND AREA REQUIREMENTS REGARDING R -1 AND
_A -1 LOTS BY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 149+
OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES (AS AMENDED)
AS ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
ORDINANCE NO. 1, ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 1,
SECTIONS 9100 AND 9101
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY OR-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Amending Ordinance No. 60 -23. Ordinance No.
60 -23 is amended, added to and repealed as follows:
Section k is amended to read as follows:
"Section 7k2. RESIDENTIAL AND APARTMENT AUTOMOBILE
PARKING REQUIREMENTS.
"Every dwelling unit, bachelor apartment or two
guest rooms on any lot or parcel of land, in
Zones R -1, R -2, R -3, R -A, A -1, A -2, A -2 -H, R -R,
R -1 7P, R -2 -P, R -A -P, A -1 -P and C -1 shall have one
and one -half or more garages, carports or other
structures suitable for providing automobile
shelter, conveniently accessible and located at
a place where the erection of structures is per-
mitted. in addition thereto there shall be pro-
vided one -half parking space for each dwelling
unit or bachelor apartment situated on a lot or
parcel of land hafing a frontage of less than
twenty -five (25) feet on a dedicated street."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple
City at a regular meeting thereof held on this 14th day of February,
1961, by the following called vote:
AYES: Councilmen -Buck
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None

Temple City hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was
adopted as an urgency ordinance by the City Council of the City
of Temple City at a regular meeting of the City Council held on
the 9th day of January , 1961, by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Buchan, Dickason, Merritt, Tyrell & Fitzjohn
NOES: Councilmen -None
