A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA;
RECOMMENDING THAT THE MIAMI-DADE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS RECONSIDER AND RESCIND
THE JULY 22, 2003 SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE
AMENDED AND RESTATED LEASE BETWEEN MIAMI-
DADE COUNTY AND MARINE EXHIBITION
CORPORATION D/B/A THE MIAMI SEAQUARIUM;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 22, 2003, the Miami -Dade County Board of County Commissioners
approved the Second Amendment to the Amended and Restated Lease between Miami -Dade County
and Marine Exhibition Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Key Biscayne Village Council believes that the lease is not in the best interest
of the residents of the Village of Key Biscayne.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of Key Biscayne urges the Miami -Dade County
Board of County Commissioners to reconsider and rescind the July 22, 2003 Second Amendment
to the Amended And Restated Lease between Miami -Dade County and the Miami Seaquarium.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of August , 2003.
