Ordinance 6140 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri (bein i Section 403 of the Revised Ordinances of 1956) pertaining to the compensation of Judges and Clerks at City Elections, be and the same is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. There is hereby enacted the following Ordinance pertaining to the Compensation of Judges and Clerks of City Electio s: "Section 403. All Judges or Clerks of any Special or General City Election shall be allowed Eight ($8 .00) Dollars for their services in conducting said Elections and returning the Poll Books and Ballots to the City Clerk' s Office; said sum to be paid out of the City Treasury." Ellis /s/ President of Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6585 An ordinance repealing Sub-section (30) . of Section 23 of the Revised Ordinance of the City of Jefferson, 1956, snaking the 1300 block of Main Street, between its intersections of High Street and Hart Street, a one way street. BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Sub-section (30) of Section 23, making Main Street a one way street for West bound traffic, between its intersections of High Street and Hart Street, be and the same is hereby repealed. Ellis President of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6586 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY TO CONTRACT BY ORDINANCE WITH THE CITIES OF COLUMBIA, FULTON, MEXICO, MOBERLY AND BOONVILLE, MISSOURI. FOR THE OPERATION AND INTERCHANGE OF COMMON SERVICE OF THE RESPECTIVE FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITIES IN CASE OF MAJOR CONFLAGRATION OR MAJOR DISASTER. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City of Jefferson City, Missouri be and is ,hereby -authorized and empowered to contract, and does hereby contract with the respective cities of Columbl.a, Boonville, Ful.ton, 1 iI Mexico and Moberly, Missouri, to create a pool of fire fighting equipment and personnel from the fire departments of the respective contracting cities and to set up a plan of mutual assistance in ,case of a major conflagration or disaster occurring in any of the 'respective cities ; said contract to be under and by virtue of the II (provisions of Section 16, Article VI, of the Constitution of i Missouri, and of Sections 70 .210, 70.220, 70.230, 21.370, 71.3800 1171.390, 71.400, 71.410 and 71.420 of the Revised Satutes of I�Missouri for 1949 and which contract is in words and t figures as � {follows : I "THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the Cities of Jefferson City, Fulton, Columbia, Mexico, Boonville, Moberly, Missouri witnesseth: WHEREAS, the said cities are empowered by ordinance duly � enacted in each of said cities to enter into this contract. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreements hereinafter mentioned, to be performed by the said respective cities , it is agreed between said cities as follows: � A .joint fire department committee, consisting of one member fr each of the contracting parties who shall be the fire chief of the fire department of the respective city shall be created and directe to make a survey of the fire departments of each of the contracting cities and to arrange a pool of such fire fighting equipment and personnel that could be safely spared from each or any of the 4 contracting cities to respond to the call for assistance from any of the cities in case of a major conflagration or disaster occuring � therein. The joint fire department committee shall set up a plan of mutual assistance among the contracting cities and shall correlate the fire fighting facilities of each city for the purpose of mutual safety. In the event of a call for assistance from any of the cities, all the fire..departments from the contracting cities shall be on the alert to come to the assistance of the city or cities, responding to the call in case of need, and shall remain on the alert until the emergency is ended. All the fire equipment and personnel pooled for mutual assis- tance shall be stationed in the City awning and operating same and the chief of the fire department of each City shall be the judge of whether any part of his equipment and personnel can be safely spare from his city at the time and under the circumstances in the event of a call for assistance. The joint fire department committee shall prescribe such rules and regulations as are necessary and incidental to the efficient . operation of the plan of mutual assistance and shall set up minimum requirements and standards of maintenance of fire equipment and pe personnel of each of the contracting cities., and inlevent any City or cities shall fail to maintain their respective fire equipment 1hend personnel up to the minimum requirements and standards fixed y the joint fire department committee the committee shall give otice in writing of such failure to such City or cities so failing o maintain such requirements and standards, and if such City or ities shall not bring up such equipment or personnel to the requir ents and standards within six months from the date of such notice, joint fire department committee ray eliminate such City or tf sties from the pool and plan of mutual assistance until such equirements and standards are met. i In case of loss or damage to the fire equipment of any of the contracting cities while responding to the call for assistance to j any other city pursuant to this ggreement, such loss or damage sh+al
