SECTION ! . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance shall be and the same are hereby repealed, illso ar
as they may so conflict.
SECTION 8 . That this ordinance shall take effect and shall be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 6588
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO RIGHT-OF-WAY OF ALL MOTOR VEHICLES
APPROACHING AND ENTERING THE INTERSECTION OF WEST MAIN AND WEST HIGH
STREETS, DECLARING THAT THE OPERATORS OF MOTOR VEHICLES BEING
OPERATED IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION IN THE 1400 BLOCK OF WEST MAIN,
WHO INTEND TO PROCEED EAST ON WEST MAIN, SHALL YIELD THE RIGHT-OF-WAY
TO THE OPERATORS OF MOTOR VEHICLES BEING OPERATED IN A WESTERLY
DIRECTION IN THE 1300 BLOCK OF WEST HIGH STREET, WHEN SAID TWO MOTO
VEHICLES APPROACH THE INTERSECTION OF MAIN AND HIGH STREET AT
APPROXIMATELY THE SAME TIME, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter the operator of a motor vehicle being operate
in an easterly direction in the 1400 block of West Main who intends
to proceed in and through the intersection of West Main and West
High Street to;icontinue east in the 1400 black of West Main Street,
shall yield the right of way to operators of. motor vehicles being
operated in a westerly direction in the 1300 block of West High
when said westbound and eastbound motor vehicles approach the
intersection of West Main and West High Street from opposite
directions at approximately the same time. and where a danger of
collision would exist in the event right-of-way were not yielded by
said eastbound traffic in the 1400 block of West Main to westbound
traffic in the 1300 block of west High.
SECTION 2. Anyone violating any of the terms of this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict witli
this ordinance are hereby repealed insofar as said ordinances so
conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and
