City Treasurer STREET IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 6601 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF BOONVILLE ROAD IN THE BLOCK FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF BOONVILLE ROAD AND THE NORTH LINE OF SUNSET PLACE ADDITION TO THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF BOONVILLE ROAD AND A POINT 1170 FEET SOUTH OF THE NORTH LINE OF LIVINGSTON STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFERS N, MISSOURI, BY PAVING WITH PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE OR PENETRATION BITUMINOUS MACADAM. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declardd by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on April 15, 1958 necessary to pave * th portland cement concrete or penetration bituminous macadam the roadway of Boonville Road in the block from the center of the intersection of Boonville Road and the north line of Sunset Place Addition to the center of the intersection of Boonville Road and a point 1170 feet south of the north line of Livingston Street and it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly published according to the law for more than seven. (7) consecutive insertions, in the Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident owners of property along said section d: Boonville Road liable for the costs of said improve- ment, and who own a majority of the front feet on said Boonville Road intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said contemplated improvement. SECTION 2. That the said road of Boonville Road from the north Lin of Sunset Place Addition to a point 1170 feet south of the north line of Livingston Street in accordance with the plans and specifi- cations submitt6d by the City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall. be charged and levied as especial assessment against the real estat abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as proviaded in the City Charter and in Sections 826, 827, 828, and 829, of Chapter 10,of the Revise Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1.956, and of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto. SECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for this improvement. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
