HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD06606 ORDINANCE NO. 6606 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 6403 OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PERTAINING TO THE NUMBER OF FIREMEN AND AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NUXBER 5999 BY INSERTING THE WORD "THREE" BETWEEN THE WORDS "TWENTY ADDITIONAL" IN THE SECOND LINE OF SECTION 2 SO TIUIT AS AMENDED SECTION 2 SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON SHALL CONSIST OF A FIRE CHIEF AND TWENTY THRE ADDITIONAL MEN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOU1119 AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance Number 6403 be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 2. Section two (2) of Ordinance Number 5999 is hereby amended by inserting the word 01three" between the words "twenty additional" in the second line of Section two (2) , so as amended Section two (2) shall read as follows: Section 2. The Eire Department of the City of Jefferson shall consist of a. fire Chief and twenty three additional men. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force end take effect from and after its passage and approval. Section 4. Any firemen over the number of twenty one who have worked for the City of Jefferson, Missouri, during the month of April shall be entitled to be paid for said period of time worked on the usual pay basis for firemen and the Mayor is authorized to write warrants in favor of said firemen and the City Treasurer shaS honor the same. Ellis /s/ President of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6607 AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A RESTRICTED AREA FOR THE PARKING OF THE BOOKMOBILE IN FRONT OF THE PUBLIC LIBRARY IN THE 200 BLOCK OF ADAMS STREET, AND PROHIBITING OPERATORS OF MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN THE BOOKMOBILE FROM PERMITTING THE SAME TO BE PARKED WITHIN SAID RESERVED PARKING AREA, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSO I, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following area is reserved for the parking of the Bookmobile: A space thirty feet in 'length lying along the west curb of the 200 Block of Adams Street with the south point of said parking area being located thirty feet south of the south line of a private alley lying between the Public Library and the Railway Express Building. Section 2. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle, other than the Bookmobile, to permit the same to be parked within the aforementioned reserved parking area. Section 3.
