Reiman at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021, remotely, via telephone call -in. Upon individual roll call, the following were noted present: ROLL CALL Mayor Daniel J. Reiman Councilmember Vincent Bellino " Jorge Diaz " Ajmar Johal " Randy Krum " Susan Naples Also noted present were Carmela Pogorzelski, Municipal Clerk and Robert J. Bergen, Esq., Law Director. Noted absent was Councilmember Dennis DiMascio. NOTED ABSENT The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the PRAYER, PLEDGE Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Krum. OF ALLEGIANCE The 2021 Annual Notice was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The STATEMENT OF Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board and the doors of the MEETING NOTICE Memorial Municipal Building on January 6, 2021. Notice was published in The Home News Tribune and The Star Ledger on January 11, 2021. All items being voted on tonight were posted on the Borough's website, www.carteret.net prior to tonight's meeting. Clerk's Note: Councilmerber DiMascio was noted present, but due to NOTED PRESENT the loud background noise was not audible when roll was called. Upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Krum and Bellino and APPROVAL OF unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, the MINUTES minutes of September 16, 2021 were approved as transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk. , r1L- 1V1Dll1t Do, LV61 (continued) ORDINANCE #21 -17 AMENDING SECTION §254 -35, SCHEDULE XVII, TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS ORDINANCE #21 -17 was introduced and adopted on First Reading and the Clerk authorized and directed to advertise same for Public Hearing, upon MMS &C, by Corulcilmembers Diaz and Krum. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Johal, Krum and Naples voted in the affirmative. ORDINANCE #21 -17 "ORDINANCE ACKNOWLEDGING THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET'S ACCEPTANCE OF THE TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF COUTNY ROUTE 602 (a/k/a ROOSEVELT AVENUE), MINUE STREET, AND POST BOULEVARD AND AMENDING SECTION §254 -35 ENTITLED SCHEDULE XVII: TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET" ORDINANCE #21 -18 ORDINANCE #21 -18 was introduced and adopted on First Reading AMENDING SALARY and the Clerk authorized and directed to advertise same for Public ORDINANCE #71 -9 Hearing, upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Krum and Diaz. Upon CROSSING GUARDS individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Jobal, Krum and Naples voted in the affirmative. ORDINANCE 421 -18 "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE #71 -9 ESTABLISHING SALARY SCHEDULES AND FIXING THE MANNER OF PAYMENTS OF SALARIES FOR VARIOUS OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET" ORDINANCE #21 -19 ORDINANCE #21 -19 was introduced and adopted on First Reading AMENDING SALARY and the Clerk authorized and directed to advertise same for Public ORDINANCE #71 -9 Hearing, upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Johal. Upon DISPATCHERS individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Johal, Krum and Naples voted in the affirmative. ri SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 (continued) ORDINANCE #21 -19 "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE #71 -9 ESTABLISHING SALARY SCHEDULES AND FIXING THE MANNER OF PAYMENTS OF SALARIES FOR VARIOUS OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET" A copy of each Resolution was posted on the Borough's website for PUBLIC PORTION public review prior to the meeting in accordance with the Rules of RESOLUTIONS/ Council. Upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Krum and Diaz and AGENDA ITEMS unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, the & NEW BUSINESS meeting was opened for public input on all Resolutions /Agenda items and new business. There being no continents or objections to the Resolutions /Agenda PUBLIC HEARING items or new business, upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Diaz and CLOSED I -mm and unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, the meeting was closed. Upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Krum all bills PAYMENT OF BILLS appearing on the prepared list, properly audited and signed were ordered to be paid. Upon individual Roll Call Vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Johal, Krum and Naples voted in the affirmative. Reports l Communication: REPORTS 1.
