BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed the following
rate on all real estate and personal property within the limits of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, not exempt from taxation by the
constitution or the laws of the State of Missouri, as shown by the
assessment book of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the year
1958, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers statements, made as
provided by law.
FIRST - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the fiscal year, the sum of 0.83
cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
SECOND - For the purpose of paying interest on the out-
standing bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the
purpose of creating a sinking fund to retire the outstanding bonds
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of 0.45 cents
on the one hundred dollar valuation.
THIRD - Fpr the purpose of establishing and maintaining a
Free Public Library in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum
of 0. 10 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
FOURTH : For the purpose of establishing and maintaining
Free Public Parks in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of
0.20 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
FIFTH - For the purpose of creating a Firemen' s Retirement
System for firemen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the• sum of
0.07 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause
Ito be extended in the appropriate columns opposite each item of
taxable property on the assessment books as retruned by the
Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and corrected by the
County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid by
each person as provided by Section 1 of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE, of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, vacating and
iscontinuing as a part of the public thoroughfare, the westerly
e (1) foot of Jackson Street, extending from the northerly line of
nklin Street, northerly 457.5 feet, and authorizing and directing
he Mayor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to execute all
ecessary instruments to the owners of the adjacent lots to and
or said portion of Jackson Street so vacated, as the parties
ntitled thereto, as shown by the record title to said adjacent and
butting property and declaring a reverter to the respective owner,

EREAS: it has been shown to the City Council of the City of
