All -the owners of the propert and adjacent lots abutting on and adjacent to said Hart Street havin petitioned the said City Council to facate and discontinue said j portion of Hart Street as a part of the public thoroughfare of said I City, and said street is forever vacated and discontinued as a publi thoroughfare and the power and right of reversion of said street to the adjacent and abutting owners as is provided by the Statues of the State of Missouri, is hereby fully confirmed and approved, and the Mayor of the City is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all proper and sufficient writing, or writings for, on behalf of, or in the name of the City to fully and completely establish and guarantee to the adjacent and abutting property owners ) their legal rights in connection with the above vacation. Ellis /s/ President of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6652 j An ordinance levying and assessing a special tax bill against the to s or tracks of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of Hillsdale Drive, from the west curb line of Ronnie Avenue to the west curb line of Norris Drive in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement of the said roadway by grading, curbing and guttering and paving with portland cement concrete. 1 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of Hillsdale Drive, from the west curb line of Ronnie Avenue to the west curb line of Norris Drive in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway Hillsdale Drive aforesaid, including such grading as may be necessary for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of $3453.40 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said Hillsdale Drive aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 424, running feet the cost price per running foot is $8. 1448. SECTION 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said roadway of Hillsdale Drive, from the west curb line of Ronnie Avenue to the west curbi.line of Ronnie Avenue to the west curb line of Norris Drive there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $8. 1448 as a special tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Hillsdale Drive between the aforesaid streets, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway of said Hillsdale Drive, from the west curb line of Ronnie Avenue to the west curb line of Norris Dtiv ' SECTION 31 The name of each property owner or owners and the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each side of Hillsdale Drive from the west curb line of Ronnie j Avenue to the west curb line of Norris Drive and the number of fronti feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or Itracks of land so owned and abutting said block or street between the aforesaid streets and the cost price per front foot for said improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as a special tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said Hillsdale Drive or the roadway from the enter of the intersection of Hillsdale Drive and the west curb lin • of Ronnie Avenue to the west curb line of Norris Drive. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make out special tax bills in favor of t`he contractor E.F. Barnett for the ithin mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative to said kind of work and in accordance with the Charter of said City in regard to said work.
