Cherry was the only bid submitted in response to laid advertisement,
and
Whereas, the Clay Council is of the opinion that said bid of $700.00
is a fair consideration for the execution of a quit-claim deed by th
city to any interest they might have as of the date of this ordinance
in and to said land hereinafter to be described, now therefore:
Section 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of
the City to execute a Quit-claim deed to the following described
land. conveying all right, title and interest of the City of
Jefferson in and to said land in favor of Mildred E. Cherry and
Sallie E. Eggleson as tenants in common, said land being located
within the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri, and more
particularly described as follows:
"A part of Lot 1 Block 3 of Wolff' s Subdivision, per plat of
record of Plat Book 3, Page 22, Cole County RecordCr':b::Office,
more particularly described as: Beginning on the easterly lin
of said lot, 68 .0 feet southerly of the northeasterly corner
thereof; thence southerly parallel to the westerly line of
Lot 4 Block 2 of Wolff's Subdivision, 70.0 feet; thence at a
right angle to the last mentioned line in an easterly directio ,
35.0 feet, more or less, to the westerly line of Hart Street,
as shown on the plat of Wolff's Subdivision; ;thence northerly
along and with the westerly line of Hart Street, 80.0 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning.
Also a part of Section 1 Township 44 Range 12, more particular y
described as: Beginning on the westerly line of Hart Street
and the northerly line of Miller Street, as shown on the plat
of Wolff' s Subdivision, and recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 22,
Cole County Recorder' s Office; thence westerly along and with
the northerly line of Miller Street, 110.0 feet, more or less,
to a point that is 200.0 feet westerly, if measured at right
angle thereto, the easterly line of Lot .12, Block 15 of Wolff'
Subdivision; thence northerly parallel to the easterly line
of said Lot 12 to a point that is 494.5 feet southerly of, if
measured at right angle thereto, the southerly line of
McCarty Street; thence easterly parallel to the southerly line
of McCarty Street, 92.0 feet, more or less, to the westerly
line of Hart Street; thence southerly along and -with the
westerly line of Hart Street, 10.0 feet to the point of
beginning."
Section 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk shall not execute such
quit-claim deed heretofore mentioned until the payment of the
urchase price of $700.00 has been received from the proposed
rantees, Mildred E. Cherry and Sallie E. Eggleson, but upon the
eceipt of said $700.00 said deed shall be promptly executed and
elivered to the grantees or their representative.
ection 3. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
