AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PARKING ZONE FOR THE AIRPORT LIMOUSINE
ON THE WEST SIDE OF MADISON STREET BETWEEN TWO POINTS LOCATED TEN
(10) FEET AND THIRTY (30) FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH CURB OF CAPITOL
AVENUE, DECLARING IT UNLAWFUL FOR THE OPERATOR OF ANY MOTOR VEHICLE
OTHER THAN THE MEMORIAL AIRPORT LIMOUSINE TO BE PARKED AT ANY TIME
WITHIN SAID ZONE, and PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURE,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A restricted parking zone for the Memorial Airport
Limousine is hereby created and established on the west side of
Madison Street between two points located ten (10) feet and thirty
(30) feet south of the south curb 6f Capitol Avenue.
Section 2. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the operator of any
motor vehicle, other than the operator of the Memorial Airport
Limousine, to permit the same to be parked within the restricted
parking zone established above at any time.
Section 3. Anyone violating any of the terms and provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from an
after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 6666
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE MANNER IN WHICH ALL EXCAVATIONS WITHIN
THE IMPROVED STREETS OF THIS CITY SHALL BE MADE, AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUR ,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Hereafter all street excavations made in, through, acros
and upon the improved streets of this city shall be performed in the
following manner:
A. All concrete or asphalt-aggregate macadam street
surfacing shall be removed by hand and without employing the use of
a trenching machine.
B. The street surfacing removed by hand shall be at least
six inches wider than the distance separating both sides of the
proposed trench or excavation.
C. If a trenching machine is used to remove or to excavate
earth, dirt, rock or other materials which lie below the street
surfacing, the street surfacing materials to be removed by hand
shall be- removed to a distance of at least six inches on either
side of the back hoe or scoop of the trenching machine to be used.
D. In backfilling any trench or street excavation, no more
than twelve inches of earth shall be replaced within said trench
prior to the compact tamping of said earth. This process shall be
repeated until all earthwork has been securely and firmly tamped
and the surface of the excavated area is brought to the level of
the surrounding street surface.
