WHEREAS: It has been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners of that portion of Cole Drive
in Sunset Place Addition, hereafter described, in Section 1 of this
rdinance, have used, improved and occupied and are now using and
ccupying said abutting land so that portion of Cole Drive has
eased to be of any use or benefit as a public thoroughfare and that
t would not inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City,
f Jefferson, Missouri, to discontinue and vacate said portion of
aid drive as a public thoroughfare, therefore,
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUFIq
S FOLLOWS:
ECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of the City
£ Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient to vacate
and discontinue that part of Cole Drive, more particularly describe
s: Beginning at a point 646 feet north of the south line of Sunset
lace Addition and on the extended west line of lot 61 Block 1
unset Place Addition, said point of beginning being 40 feet south
f and perpendicular to the center line of a concrete pavement;
hence North 76 degrees and 48 minutes West and parallel to the
enter line of said concrete pavement, 477 feet, more or less, to a
oint 15 feet easterly of the easterly curb line of Hayselton Drive;
hence southerly parallel with said curb line to the southerly line
f Cole Drive; thence easterly along and with the southerly line of
ole Drive to a point 40 feet easterly of the northwesterly corner
f lot 40 Block 1 of Sunset Place Addition; thence North 13 degrees
nd 12 minutes East, 21 feet, more or less, to the point of beginni g.
11 the owners of the property and adjacent lots abutting on and
djacent to said Cole Drive having petitioned the said City Council
o vacate and discontinue said portion of Cole Drive as a part of t e
utlic thoroughfare of said City, and siad drive is forever vacated
nd discontinued as a public thoroughfare and the power and right
f reversion of said drive to the adjacent and abutting owners as i
rovided by the Statutes of the State of Missouri, is hereby fully
onfirmed and approved, and the Mayor of this City is hereby author
zed and directed to execute and deliver all proper and sufficient
V . icing, or writings for, on behalf of, or in the name of the City
Ito fully and completely establish and guarantee to the adjacent and
butting property owners their legal right in connection with the
Bove vacation.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
nd after its passage and approval.

venue in Sunset Place Addition, and authorizing and directing the
