SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) signed into law on March 11, 2021 designates funding through state library administrative agencies to help support Idaho libraries address
the need for equitable access to broadband and quality digital content. There is no minimum or maximum grant request amount, but the McCall Public Library anticipates that its request
will not exceed $50,000 and will be utilized in keeping with the grant program funding priorities to “support library services that meet the needs of communities, including costs such
as technology, training, materials, supplies, equipment,” etc.
Details of the exact grant request scope are in the process of being defined by the McCall Public Library and an update will be provided during to Council during the meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve submittal of Idaho Commission for Libraries American Rescue Plan Act Grant and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
