HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD06690 vacate and discontinue that part of St. Paul Street, more particular ily described as: All that part of St. Paul Street lying westerly of Notre Dame Street, as shown on the plat of Wulfert' s Subdivision of Outlot 101, said plat of record in Plat Book 2 Page 8 Cole Count Recorder' s Office. All the owners of the property and adjacent lots abutting on and adjacent to said St. Paul Street having petitioned the said City Council to vacate and discontinue said portion of St. Paul Street as a part of the public thoroughfare of said City, and said street is forever vacated and discontinued as a public thoroughfare and the right of reversion of said street to the adjacent and abutting owners as is provided by the Statutes of the State 6f Missouri, is hereby fully confirmed and approved, and the Mayor of this City is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all proper and sufficient writing, or writings for, on behalf of, or in the name of the City to fully and completely estab- lish and guarantee to the adjacent and abutting property owners their legal rights in connection with the above vacation. Ellis /s/ President of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6689 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 6654 RELATING TO STOPING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON CERTAIN STREETS BEFORE ENTERING INTERSECTIONS OF CROSS STREETS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES, AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance Number 6654 relating to the stoping of motor vehicles on certain named streets before entering the intersections of said streets and certain named cross streets, and providing a penalty, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 2. It -shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to fail to bring the same to a full and complete stop on Union Street before entering the intersection of Union and Adams Street. Section 3. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to fail to bring the same to a full and complete stop on Houchin Street before entering the intersection of Houchin Street and Dunklin Street. Section 4. Anyone violating any of the terms of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
