HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD06718 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOU I, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council, of the City of Jefferson, Missour , ereby declares that it deems it necessary for the health and comfo t of the inhabitants of the City and for sanitary and other purposes tha there must be constructed as soon as possible in Sewer District No, 40 "A" , as established by Ordinance, a sanitary sewer ant it is ordered that the same be constructed without unnecessary delay. Section 2. That said sewer shall begin at a point that is 85.3 feet north of the south line and 25 feet east of the east line of the Southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 13 Townsh p '' 44 Range 12; thence South 55 degrees and 15 minutes West, 1077.3 feet. Section 3. Said sewer shall be constructed in all respects as provided by Ordinance and shall be constructed of standard glaeed sewer pipe, shall be constructed to the plans and specifications of the City Engineer. Ellis /s/ resident of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6718 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF DEPUTY CITY CLERK, DEFINI G E METHOD OF SELECTION OF DEPUTIES, THE NUMBER OF DEPUTIES, THEIR OATH OF OFFICE, TERM OF OFFICE AND DUTIES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSO _ I, S FOLLOWS: ISection 1. There is hereby established and created the office of deputy city clerk. Section 2. The duties of deputy city clerks shall be limited and confined as follows: A. To take and receive applications for absentee ballots to be voted in the general city election to be held 'on April 7, 195S , Within the City of Jefferson. B. To deliver said applications for absentee ballots to the City Clerk so that the City Clerk may make a list of and post the same as required by law. C. To receive the official absentee ballots from the City Jerk and deliver same in person to any applicant therefor for xecution thereof by the applicant. D. After execution of the absentee ballot by the applicant to accept delivery of same and return same to the City Clerk. ; E. To give a written receipt to the applicant upon deliver f the executed official absentee ballot. Section 3. All deputy city clerks shall take the same oath of office as is prescribed or ordinance for the City Clerk. Said oath of ffice shall be taken before the Police Judge of the City of Jefferson. Section 4. The term of office of all deputy city clerks shall xpire at 6:01 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 1959. Section 5. All deputy city clerks shall serve without salary or compensation.
