Ells /s/ City Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 6729 AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THAT THE CHIEF OF POLICE AND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SHALL SUPERVISE THE HUMANE OFFICER IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Hereafter the Chief of Police and the Police Department shall supervise the Humane Officer in the performance of his duties Section 2. Ells /s/ City Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 6730 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX AGAINST EACH LOT OR PIECE OF GROUND LYING BETWEEN AND SITUATE WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 91 "C" IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, IN THE NAME OF THE OWNER OR OWNERS THEREOF FOR CONSTRUCTING AND COMPLETING SEWERS THEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: ' Section 1. It appearing fron the written report of the City Engine r, the officer in charge of the work of construction and completing sewers, in Sewer District No . 91 "C" , in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, heretofore submitted by said officer to the City Council and approved and filed by it on this 4th day of May, 1959, at a regular meeting of the City Council held on this date, that the total cost of construction and completing of said sewer as constructed, amounts to the sum of $22,446.53, and it further appearing that said report of said officer did apportion said costs against the several lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No . 91 "C" , exclusive of streets in proportion to the area of the whole of said District No. 91 "C" exclusive of the public highways, and it further appearing that the total number of square feet contained in the aggregate number of lots and pieces of ground situated in the said. Sewer District No. 91 "C" , exclusive of the public highways therein amounts to 701,454.0 square feet. And it further appearing from the said report that an proper apportionment of said costs such lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 91 "C" is chargeable with the sum of $0.032 per square, foot Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of construction and completion of sewers in said Sewer District No. 91 "C"together with all necessary laterals, inlets, catch r7, basins, manholes, and other necessary appi.irtenances thereto apperta ping, there is hereby levied and assessed against the several and herein- after described lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of said Sewer District No. 91 "C" , situated in the name of the respective name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground, a special tax at the rate of $0 .032 per square foot for each and every square foot of ground so situated as aforesaid. Section 2. Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned and referred to in Section 1 of this Ordinance, against which a special tax bill is specified in Section 1 of this ordinance is levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and the description of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of the owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or piece of ground in said Sewer District No. 91 "C" situated in the name of the owner or owners thereof, the number of square feet owned by eac property holder in the lots or pieces of ground owned by each owner in said Sewer District No. 91 "C" is as follows : FRED C. & MABLE S. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed at once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, of the aforsaid amounts against said lots or pieces of land in the aforesaid Sewer District No. 91 "C" , situated mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned sections of thi Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners thereof, which said special and certified tax bills shall be signed by the Mayor and attested and recorded by the City Clerk and delivered to Roy A. Scheperle Construction Company, The Contractor of the work of construction of the aforesaid sewers as provided and required by the Charter of the City of Jefferson and the Ordinances authorizing and ordering the construction of sewers in said Sewer District No. 91 "C" , heretofore passed and approved by the Council.
