Whereas, the Commission, after conducting said public hearing and
giving the matter is study, consideration and attention has
recommended to the City Council that such proposed amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance be made, and
Whereas, all interested parties have been notified that the City
Council would hold a public hearing on the issue of whether such
amendment to the zoning ordinance as recommended by the Plannipg
and Zoning Commission should be made, said notice being by
publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City
more than fifteen days prior to the date of said hearing, and
Whereas, the City Council has conducted such hearing and given all
interested parties an opportunity to be heard upon the question,
now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSO I,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1002 of Article X of Ordinance No. 5880 of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, be and it is hereby amended by adding
thereto a new subparagraph to be known as subparagraph 22.5 which
shall read and states as follows:
22.5 Plumbing Shops
Section 2. The intention of this proposed amendment is to permit
land located within the "E" Local Commercial District to be used
for the purpose of Plumbing Shops.
Section 3. In all other respects Section 1002 of Article X of
Ordinance Number 5880, as originally passed and previously amended,
shall remain the same.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in- force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING NUMBER 6658 OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AND SECTION 413 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, 1956, PERTAINING TO THE NUMBER OF POLICEMEN
AND POLICEWOMEN AUTHORIZED IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND ENACTING
A NEW ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance Number 6658, being Section 413 of the
Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, 1956, relating to the
number of policemen and policewomen authorized in the police
department of Jefferson City, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 2. A new ordinance relating to the same subject matter is
hereby enacted and said ordinance shall be known as Section 413 of
the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, 1956, and shall
be in words and figures as follows:
Section 413. Policemen and Policewomen, number.--The City
of Jefferson shall have twenty-one policemen and one policewoman.
