SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Airport is taking steps to minimize incompatible land use in the Airport Impact Area. Among other steps, the Airport is requesting Avigation Easements from landowners (definitions
attached) as part of the Planning and Zoning permit approval.
With the current Real Estate market, interest has increased from developers to build new housing units- including housing units being built within the Airport Impact Area. 3 development
proposals are currently underway with more expected.
To minimize future impacts to McCall Municipal Airport, Staff has created an Avigation Easement Template to be used to simplify the process of creating future agreements. This Template
is under review by the City Attorney. Any recommended revisions to the template will be provided to Council prior to the meeting.
Airport Staff also requests that City Council approve the City Manager as the City Signatory for future Avigation Agreements.
