Butzer, known and referred to as Butzer' s Subdivision, lying and being within the corporate limits of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as shown by the said Plat hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance is Ilhereby accepted and approved by the City Council of the City of ,Jefferson, Missouri, and the Mayor of said City, and the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, after the passage and approval of this Ordinance is hereby directed to endorse acceptance and approval of said plat thereona, and to certify to the approval of the same unde the seal of said City of Jefferson, Missouri. Whaley /s/ President of the Council Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 6795 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REPAIRING, SURFACING AND RESURFACING BY THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AN ALLEY SOUTH OF DUNKLIN STREE , BETWEEN DELAWARE AND OHIO STREETS, ALL OR SAID IMPROVEMENT TO BE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF SPRINKLING, SURFACING AND RESURFACING OF DISTRICT NUMBER FOUR (4) OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AND FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL TAX BILLS, NOT EXCEEDING ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) PER FRONT FOOT, AGAINST THE PROPERTY FRONTING OR ABUTTING 0 SAID STREET TO PAY FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOLfflI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , hereby finds and declares that it deems it necessary to repair, surface and resurface at a cost not exceeding one dollar ($1.00) pe front foot of an alley South of Dunklin Street, between Delaware an Ohio Streets, all of said improvement to be within the limits of surfacing and resurfacing, sprinkling, oiling and repairing District, Number Four (4) of the City of Jefferson, Missouri. All of said work to be done according to the plans and specifications filed wit the City Clerk. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that it deem it advisable and for the best interest of the owners of property to be charged with the cost of said work, that said work shall be done by the City, without letting a contract therefore, and that the City Street Commissioner is hereby directed to purchase the necessa terials and employ.::tl.e necessary labor for the performance of said work and shall superintend the same and keep an accurate accou t of the cost thereof, and do the work under the supervision of the City Engineer. SECTION 3. That the cost of such repairing, surfacing and resurfacing shall be defrayed by a special tax, to be assessed in favor of the City, on the adjoining property fronting or bordering on the above street where such work is done, in proportion that the linear numbe of feet of each lot fronting or bordering thereon bears to the total number of linear feet all of the property chargeable with the tax aforesaid in the territory embraced within this ordinance. Special Tax Bills shall be issued evidencing such assessment, and shall become liens on such property, and shall be issued and enforced as provided by law. SECTION 4. The cost of such repairing, surfacing and resurfacing shall not exceed the sum of one dollar ($1.00) per front foot, per annum, upon the property abutting upon the street aforesaid.
