ORDINANCE NO. 6822
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING IT UNLAWFUL TO PARK A MOTOR VEHICLE ON THE
STREETS, ALLEYS AND ROADWAYS Cr, THIS CITY IF THE MOTOR VEHICLE DOES
NOT BEAR A CURRENTLY EFFECTIVE REGISTRATION LICENSE PLATE, PROVIDIN
FOR THE REMOVAL OF SAID MOTOR VEHICLE FROM STREETS, ALLEYS AND ROAD AYS,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISOUR ,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation, through any officer of employee thereof, to park or
stand a motor vehicle upon any street, alley or roadway within this
city unless there is attached to said motor vehicle a currently
effective registration license plate issued by the United States of
America, the State of Missouri, any state of the United States of
America, or any foreign government which plate is clearly visible
from the outside of said motor vehicle.
SECTION 2. The police officers of this city shall cause any motor
vehicle parked in violation of the preceding section to be removed
from the streets, alleys or roadways within the city by the use of
a tow truck of any person, firm or corporation engaged in the
business of towing vehicles.
SECTION 3. Anyone violating any of the terms of this ordinance sha 1
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor; the cost of towing said motor,
vehicle shall be added to the fine for said parking violation and
the total amount of the fine and the towing charge shall be paid by
the person, firm or corporation convicted of violating this ordinan e.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.

NOT BEAR A CURRENTLY EFFECTIVE CITY LICENSE AND IS OWNED BY A
RESIDENT OF THIS CITY, PROVIDING FOR REMOVAL OF SAID MOTOR VEHICLE
FROM THE STREETS, ALLEYS AND ROADWAYS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOULI.,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation, through any officer of employee thereof, to park or
stand a motor vehicle that is owned by a resident of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, upon any street, alley or roadways within this
city unless said motor vehicle has attached and is displaying a
currently effective motor vehicle city license sticker issued by th
City of Jefferson, Missouri.
SECTION 2. The police officers of this city shall cause any motor
vehicle parked in violation of the preceding section to be removed
