b) A canvasser or solicitor is further defined as any individual,
hether resident of the City of Jefferson or not, who, for himself
or herself or any other person, firm or corporation hires or leases
uses or occupies any building, structure, tent, railroad box car,
oat, hotel room, lodging house, apartment, shop or any other place
ithin this city for the purpose of taking or attempting to take
rders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise, or personal
roperty of any nature whatsoever, for future delivery, or for
ervices to be performed or furnished in the future, by use of a

ECTION 3. There is hereby enacted a new section to be known as
ubparagraph (a) of Section 663 of the Revised Ordinances of the
ity of Jefferson, 1956, prescribing the amount of fees to be paid
rior to issuance of a license to a solicitor or canvasser, which
ection shall read as follows:
"Section 663. Fees. -- (a) The license fee which
shall be charged by the license inspector for a
license to conduct business as a canvasser or
solicitor, as defined in subparagraph (a) of
Section 660, shall be $3.00 per day, $30.00 per
month or $75.00 per year. The license fee to
be charged for a license to conduct business as
a canvasser or solicitor, as defined in sub-
paragraph (b) of Section 660, shall be $1.00 per ..
day, $15,00 per month or $50.00 per year."
ECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and
fter its passage and approval.
ECTION 5. The provisions of this ordinance shall be considered in
irection relation to and administered -in conjunction with Sections
59-673 inclusive of the Revised Ordinances of the City of

ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE TITLE
[EELETING ORDINANCE NO. 6839 BY DELETING THE CLAUSE "REPEAT OF PART OF
SONS SUBDIVISION" AS CONTAINED WITHIN SAID TITLE AND SUBSTITUTING
LIEU THEREOF THE CLAUSE "PLAT OF BACLESSE' S SUBDIVISION AND
NDING PARAGRAPHS 3 AND 4 OF SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6839 BY
THEREFROM THE CLAUSE "REPLAT OF PART OF DAWSONS SUBDIVISIO CONTAINED IN SAID PARAGRAPHS AND SUBSTITUTING IN LIEU THEREOF THEI
LAUSE "BACLESSE' S SUBDIVISION, AND BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL SECTION
TO ORDINANCE NO. 6839 TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 3 THEREOF WHICH SMALL ;
STATE AS FOLLOWS: THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE INTERPRETED AND CONSTRUE
IN CONJUNCTION WITH ORDINANCE NO. 6851.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: i
Section 1. That the title of Ordinance No. 6839 of the City of ,
Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended by deleting the phrase
"Replat of part of Dawsons Subdivision" as said clause appears in
the title of said ordinance and substituting in lieu thereof the
phrase "Plat of Baclesse' s Subdivision" .
Section 2. Paragraphs 3 and 4 Of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 6839
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, are hereby amended by deleting
thereform the phrase "Replat of part of Dawsons Subdivision" as
said phrase appears in said paragraphs and substituting in lieu the eof
the phrase "Baclesse' s Subdivision" .
Section 3. Ordinance No. 6839 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
is further amended by adding thereto a new section to be known as
Section 3 of said Ordinance No. 6839 which said Section shall read
as follows:
"Section 3. This Ordinance shall be interpreted
and construed in connection with Ordinance No. 6851."
Section 4. Said Ordinance No. 6839 as amended by this Ordinance
shall read in words and figures as follows:
"ORDINANCE NO. 6839"
"AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF BACLESSE' S SUB_
DIVISION OF PART OF OUTLOT 52, A SUBDIVISION OF. THE CITY OF JEFFERS N,
MISSOURI BY ROBERT R. PRATT AND ELIZABETH A. PRATT, AS HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED.
"BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOIRI,
AS FOLLOWS:
"SECTION 1. Robert R. Pratt and Elizabeth A. Pratt, owners of the
real estate hereinafter described and situate in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, having submitted to the Council for its approv 1
a plat of said real estate, being located in Jefferson City, Cole
County, Missouri, and more particularly described as follows:
"Beginning at the northwest corner of Outlot 52, thenc
south 35 degrees 05 minutes west 92.2 feet; thence south 4 degrees
10 minutes east 453.65 feet; thence north 54•degrees west 317.25 fe t;
thence north 35 degrees 05 minutes east 267.9 feet; thence northeasterly
90 feet more or less along the south line of a city street to the
point of beginning. All of said land being in Outlot 52 in the
City of Jefferson, Missouri. All bearings stated herein are
magnetic.
"And it appearing that said plat has been duly and properly signed
and accepted by the said owners of the said Addition known and
referred to as Baclesse' s Subdivision, that all taxes have been
paid, and that in all respects the requirements of Chapter 445
Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto, entitle
plats have been fully complied with by the aforesaid owners of the
said addition: now therefore:
"The plat of land of Robert R. Pratt and Elizabeth A. Pratt, known ,
and referred to as Baclesse' s Subdivision, lying and being within
the corporate limits of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as shown
by the said plat hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance
is hereby accepted and approved by the City Council of the
