A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS ADOPTING AN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, The Texas Disaster Act of 1975, Article 6889-7,
V.A.C.S., requires each community to prepare and keep
current a local or inter-jurisdictional emergency management
program, identify the person who heads the agency
responsible for the program and furnish the Texas Division
of Emergency Management additional pertinent information
that the Division requires; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richland Hills has established an
Office of Civil Defense by Ordinance Number 435, dated July
21, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has prepared the basic
requirements for a written Emergency Management Plan for the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this plan.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS
THAT, the document entitled "Emergency Management Plan for
the City of Richland Hills" is hereby adopted and is to be
used as the official guide for local officials in the event
of an unforeseen emergency situation.
AND IT IS SO RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, MEETING IN REGULAR SESSION THIS
OCTOBER 24, 1988.
