of this ordinance, is hereby approved and accepted by the City Council
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and the Mayor of said city
and the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, after the passage and
approval of this ordinance and the execution of two quitclaim
deeds by the above named owners and third persons are given the
authority and are hereby directed to endorse acceptance of said
plat thereon and to certify to the approval of same under the seal
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 6877
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF DEPUTY CITY CLERK DEFININ
THE METHOD OF SELECTION OF DEPUTY CITY CLERKS, THE NUMBER THEREOF,
AND PRESCRIBING THEIR OATH OF OFFICE, TERM OF OFFICE AND DUTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established the office of Deputy City
Clerk.
SECTION 2. All deputy city clerks shall take the same oath of office
as is prescribed by ordinance for the office of city clerk. The
oath of office shall be taken before the Police Judge or Acting
Police Judge of the City of Jefferson.
SECTION 3. The term of office of all deputy city clerks shall
expire at 6:01 p.m. on Tuesday, April 52 1960 .
SECTION 4. All deputy city clerks shall serve without salary or
compensation.
SECTIO14 5. The deputy city clerks shall perform the following
prescribed duties only:
A. To take and receive applications for absentee
ballots to be cast in the general city election
to be held on April 5, 1960, in the City of Jefferson
Missouri.
B. To deliver said applications for absentee ballots
to the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
so that the said City Clerk may make a list of same
and post same as is required by law.
C. To receive the official absentee ballots from the
City Clerk and deliver the same in person to any
applicant therefor for execution by the applicant.
D. After execution of the absentee ballot by the
applicant, to accept delivery of same and return
same to the City Clerk.
E. To give a written receipt to the applicant upon
delivery of the executed official absentee ballot.
