The Chairman of the Democratic City Committee and the Chairman of the Republican City Committee shall select such members of their own political parties as they believe fit to act as deputy city Clerks for the purposes prescribed in Section 5 above. They sh 11 furnish a list of the names of the persons to be so selected to the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri by 5:00 P.M. by Monday March 28, 1960. Not more than three persons shall be selected by either political City Committee pursuant to the terms of this ordinance. SECTION 7. Any persons selected to be a deputy city clerk shall be a resident of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and entitled to vote at the election of April 5, 1960. SECTION 8. Ells /s/ City Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 6878 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 832 and 833 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, 19569 BEING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF ARTICLE 5 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 2738 AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT, FEES TO BE PAID FOR SERVICES OF THE CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUR ', S FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Sections 832 and 833 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, being Sections 1 and 2 of Article 5 of Ordinance Number 2738, be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. There is hereby enacted a new ordinance consisting of two sections, which sections shall be known as Sections 832 and 833 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, which sections shall relate to the fees to be paid to the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for engineering services performed with respect to public works to be constructed by contractors, which sections shall read in words and figures as follows: "Section 832. Successful bidder shall pay to treasurer.-- Whenever the council shall let a contract for public work under competitive bidding, the successful bidder shall pay to the City Clerk the following sum or amounts for engineering services performed by the engineering department of the city: (a) Upon a contract for street improvements, street repairs, reconstruction work, two (27,) per cent of the amount of the bid. (b) Upon a contract for the continutation, building, repair, reinforcement, or construction of a sewer, two (2%) per cent of the amount of the bid. (c) Upon contracts for all other public works for which •services have been performed by the engineering
