HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD06883 WHEREAS, said land hereinafter described has ceased to be of any use 1 or benefit of a public thoroughfare to the citizens of the City of 1 Jefferson, and WHEREAS, it would not inconvenience the public or the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to discontinue and vacate as a portion of a public thoroughfare the land hereinafter described, now therefore: SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient to vacate and discontinue as a public thoroughfare the following described property, lying, being and situate in the County of Cole, State of Missouri, to-wit: The Southerly 79. 1 feet of the 15 foot alley lying immediately west of Lot 10 and between Lots 9 and 10 of Block One in Jefferson Heights Subdivision of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as per plat of record in Plat Book 4, page 49 , Cole County Recorder' s Office. The right of reversion to the land above described in and to the abutting property owners as is provided by the Laws and Statutes of the State of Missouri, is hereby confirmed and approved. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson are hereby author- ized and directed to execute and deliver all proper and sufficient wfitings or instruments for, on behalf of, and in the name of the City to fully and completely transfer and establish to the adjacent and utting property owners their legal rights in connection with the above mentioned vacation.
