• A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS TO
RECOMMEND THE AWARDING OF A BID TO J.L. BERTRAM CONSTRUCTION ~
ENGINEERING COMPANY AND PROVIDING ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE PROPOSED
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Tarrant County participates in the HUD funded Community
Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richland Hills receives funding for eligible
projects in participation with Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, bids have been taken for the improvement of streets and curbs
and gutters in the southern part of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to recommend the award of the bid for
the construction of the project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS
SECTION ONE
THAT, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills recommends to the
Tarrant County Commissioners that the bid for street and curb and gutter
replacement be awarded to J.L. Bertram Construction and Engineering
• Company with deductive alternate number 4-part D, which deletes Elm Park
Drive and revises the construction costs to $67,535.50.
SECTION TWO
THAT, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills hereby agrees to
provide financial assistance in the amount of $8,818.50, excluding
unforeseen change orders, in support of the project.
AND IT IS SO RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS, ON THE MOTION OF BODE , SECONDED BY WRIGHT
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, MEETING IN REGULAR SESSION THIS NOVEMBER
28, 1988 BY A VOTE OF 2 AYES, 2 NAYS AND 0 ABSTENTIONS.
