($315.00) per month after they have been employed for a period of
three months, and for the first three months service they shall
receive the sum of Two Hundred and Ninety Five ($295.00) Dollars
per month.
(cc) Temporary policemen shall receive the sum of Five and
one-half ($5.50) Dollars per day.
(dd) In addition to the salaries mentioned above, the Chief of
Police, traffic officers and all city policemen, regardless of rank
shall be paid the sum of Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars per month as an
expense allowance for the purchase of uniforms and clothing.
(ee) Street Department laborers shall be paid at the rate of
One Dollar and Sixty Five ($1.65) cents per hour,• with the hours
of labor to he regulated by the Street Commissioner.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in effect and force on May 1, I 60
from and after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 6907
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROHIBITING THE
OPERATOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE FROM DRIVING THE SAME AT A SPEED IN
EXCESS OF TWENTY (20) MILES PER HOUR ON WEST MAIN STREET BETWEEN THE
INTERSECTION WITH HAMLIN STREET AND ITS INTERSECTION WITH WEST HIGH
STREET, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSO I,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the operator of a
motor vehicle to permit the same to be operated at a speed in
excess of twenty (20) miles per hour on West Main Street between
the intersection of West Main Street and Hamlin Street and the
intersection of West Main Street and High Street.
SECTION 2. Anyone violating the terms of this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.

MISSOURI, TO WAIT FOR A PERIOD OF SEVEN (7) DAYS AFTER RECEIPTS OF
AN APPLICATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE FOR ANY OCCUPATION,
TRADE OR BUSINESS NAMED IN ANY ORDINANCE OF THIS CITY BEFORE ISSUI
SAID LICENSE APPLIED FOR AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY COLLECTOR, IN HI
DISCRETION TO REFER SAID APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE TO THE BUILDING
11COMMISSIONER AND LICENSE INSPECTOR FOR THEIR INVESTIGATION AND
