AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPERATOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE ON THE STREETS,
LEYS, ROADWAYS, HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, F .OM
OLLOWING ANOTHER MOTOR VEHICLE MORE CLOSELY THAN IS REASONABLY SAFE
D PRUDENT HAVING DUE REGARD TO THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLES AND THE
RAFFIC UPON AND THE CONDITION OF THE STREETS, ALLEYS, ROADWAYS AND
IGHWAYS BEING USED, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI:,

ECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the operator of a mot r
vehicle on the streets, alleys, roadways and highways within the Cit
f Jefferson, Missouri, to follow another motor- vehicle more closely
an is reasonably safe and prudent having due regard to the speed oflboth
otor -vehicles and the condition of the street, alley, roadway or
ighway being used by said motor vehicles.
ECTION 2. Any9one violating any of the terms of this ordinance sha 1
e deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from an
after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND
IRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE A CONTI, CT
ITH JEFFERSON CITY PRODUCTION CREDIT ASSOCIATION A MISSOURI CORPORA ION.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUR ,
S FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson,
issouri, are hereby authorized and directed to execute for' and on
ehalf of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a contract with Jefferson
ity Production Credit Association, a Missouri corporation, which
ontract shall be in words and figures as follows:
CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT made and entered into this 8th day of July, 1960
between Jefferson City Production Credit Association, a Missouri
orporation, of Cole County, Missouri, as party of the first part, aid
e City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal corporation of the third
lass, situated in Cole County, Missouri, as party of the second par :
WITNESSETH,, that:
WHEREAS, the party of the second part is the owner of the foll�'wing
escribed premises upon which the first party has a presently effect ve
ease which does not expire until January 1, 1965, said premises bei g
described as follows:
A part of inlot 339 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of said inlot 339,
thence easterly along the southerly line of said inlot and
along the public alley adjacent thereto a distance of
104 feet and 4.5 inches to the southeasterly corner
of said inlot, thence northerly along the easterly
line of said inlot, a distance of 68 feet, thence
westerly parallel. with the southerly line of said
inlot and public alley, a distance of 104 feet and
4.5 inches, to the westerly line of said inlot,
thence southerly along the westerly line of said
inlot and along Madison Street adjacent thereto,
a distance of 68 feet to the point of beginning.
and
WHEREAS, It is the desire of the first party and the
second party to terminate and cancel the lease now held by the firs
arty on the above described premises, now therefore it is agreed
as follows:
(l.) The aforementioned lease held by the first party on
the above described premises is hereby terminated, cancelled and
dissolved as of and including the 30th day of September, 1960.
(2) All obligations of the first party under the terms of
e aforementioned lease shall be dissolved and cancelled as of
September 30, 1960.
(3) The first party shall remove and transfer all of its
equipment, fixtures, supplies and all other personal property now
located within the leased premises from, and fully vacate, said
remises on or before September 30, 1960.
(4) The second party shall pay the first party the sum
f Ninety Five Hundred Dollars ($9,500.00) on or before the 8th day
of July, 1960, as consideration for the cancellation of the lease
upon, and the removal of the fixtures, supplies and equipment from,
the above described premises.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have set their hards
