STREET IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE. NO. 6950
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAYS , OF HIGH
STREET, FROM THE EAST CURB LINE OF WASHINGTON STREET TO THE WEST
CURB LINE OF BRADWAY STREET, MONROE STREET FROM THE SOUTH CURB LINE
OF HIGH STREET TO THE NORTH CURB LINE OF MCCARTY STREET, AND JEFFER ON
STREET FROM THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF HIGH STREET TO THE NORTH CURB
LINE OF MCCARTY STREET, IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY WEDG NG
WHERE NECESSARY, WITH ASPHALTIC CEMENT MATERIAL AND PAVED WITH
ASPHALTIC CEMENT ONE AND ONE-HALF INCHES (12') THICK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby found and declared by the City Council,
necessary to improve by wedging and paving with asphaltic cement,
the roadways of the aforesaid HIGH STREET, MONROE STREET and JEFFERS N
STREET, within the areas designated in the title of this ordinance,
in accordance with the plans and specidications submitted by the
City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. The total cost of the work aforesaid shall be determine
on the basis of the actual work done at the unit cost for each item
and shall be paid for in cash by the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
SECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise for
bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from aid
after its passage and approval.
