Ells /s/� City Clerk !I STREET IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 6974 SAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF '+TILLER STREET FROM THE WEST CURB LINE OF MADISON STREET TO THE EAST 16URB LINE OF JEFFERSON STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, B I EN F IN G AN ADDITIONAL THREE FEET ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SAID MILLER STREET WITH ASPHALTIC MATERIAL AND CURBING WITH PORTLAND, CEMENT (CONCRETE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on August 29, 1,1960 necessary to improve the roadway of Miller Street from the west curb line of Madison Street to the east curb line of Jefferson .Streetand it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly published according to the law for more than seven (7) ' consecutive insertions, in the Post Tribune, a daily newspaper, .printed and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident owners of property along said section of i Miller Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own is majority of the front feet on said Miller Street intended to be i proved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said fi contemplated improvement. SECTION 2. That the said road of Miller Street in accordance with ;the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and iled in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of !, the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assess- !� went against the real estate abutting and fronting onsaid contemplat d improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter, and in Sections 826, 8273, 828, 829, #nd 767 of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, and of the Revised Statutes of the State Qf Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto. SECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for this improvement. 0 �I
