• BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An election shall be held to elect one Mayor and
two Councilmembers in places 2 and 4 for a two year
term. Such election shall be held at City Hall, 3200
Diana Drive, Richland Hills, Texas, from 7:00 o'clock
a.m. until 7:00 o'clock p.m. on the 7th day of May,
1988.
SECTION 2. Eligible persons wishing to become candidates must
file application with the Mayor or City Secretary of
the City of Richland Hills, Texas, on or before the
23rd day of March, 1988 until 4:30 p.m.
SECTION 3. Absentee voting shall commence in the office of
the City Secretary on the 18th day of April, at 8:00
a.m. and shall close on the 3rd day of May, 1988 at
4.:30 p.m.
SECTION 4. The following persons shall be the Officers who
shall conduct the election:
Mr. Russell Miller Election Judge
. Mrs. Ola James Assistant Judge
and such other clerks as may be appointed by the
Election Judge. Said. persons shall also serve as the
Absentee Ballot Board.
SECTION 5. The election shall be conducted according to the
laws of the State of Texas.
SECTION 6. The one person in the Mayor's race receiving a
majority of votes, shall be declared to be elected as
Mayor for a two year term. The one person in each of
places 2 and 4 receiving the highest number of votes,
shall be deemed to have been elected as the
Councilmember in that particular place for a two year
term.
