A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS TO
• PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CRIME PREVENTION/
SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT
WHEREAS, the current manpower and equipment are inadequate to
provide for proper criminal investigations, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills d.ces not have sufficient
financial resources to provide its law enforcement agency with
this manpower and equipment, and
WHEREAS, the additional manpower and equipment will allow the
City of Richland Hills Law Enforcement Agency to increase its
capability in the basic function of law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the best
interest of the City of Richland Hills will be served by
participating in this program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS,
1. The City of Richland Hills desires to participate in
the development of a crime prevention and
investigation unit.
• 2. This City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice
Division is providing 40~ f_unding for the fourth year
of this program.
3. This City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice
Division will provide partial funding f_or a five year
program.
4. This City understands that at the end of the final
year all future funding for this program will be
assumed by the City.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS THE 22ND DAY OF February , 1988,
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Richland
Hills.
