AN ORDINANCE PROVIDI"G FOR THE REPAIRING, SURFACING AND RESURFACING
by the City of Jefferson, Missouri , of Dix Road from the North line of
St. Mary's Boulevard to the south line of Industrial Raod, all of said
improvement to be within timits of sprinkling, surfacing and resurfacing
of ,istrict Number Seven (7) , of the City of Jefferson, Missouri and for
the issuance of special Tax Bills, not exceeding sixty cents (605 per
front foot, against the adjoining property fronting or bordering on
said street to pay for said improvements.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURT,JP .
AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby finds and declares
that it is necessary to rephir, surface and resurface, : at a cost
not exceeding sixty cents (60) per front foot, of Dix Road, from the
north line of St. Maryts Boulevard to the south line of Industrial
Road, all of said improvements to be within the limits of sprinkling
oiling repairing, surfacing and resurfacing district Number Seven (71 of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri , all of said work to be done according
to tje plans and specifications filed with the city clerk.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that it
is adv1sab1p and for the best interest of owners of property to be
charged with the cost of said work, that the said work shall be done
by the City, without letting a contract therefor, and that the City
Street Commissioner is hereby directed to purchase the necessary
materials and employ the necessary labor for the performance of said
work, and shall superintend the same and keep accurate accou6.t of the
cost thereof, and do said wobk under the supervision of the ity
Engineer.
SECTION 3. That the cost of such repairing, surfacing anfi re-
surfacing shall be defrayed by a special tax, to be assessed in favor
of the City, on toe adjoining property fronting or bordering on the
streets where such work is done, in proportion that the linear number
of feet of each lot fronting or bordering thereon bears to the total
number of linear feet of all the property chargeaboe with the tax
aforesaid, in the territory empraced within this ordinance.0 Special
Tax Bills shall be issued, evidencing such assessment, and shall be-
come liens on said property, and shall be issued and enforced as provid-
ed by law.
SECTION 4. The cost of such repairing surfacing and resurfacing
shall not exceed the sum of sixty cents (60�1 per front foot, per annum,
upon property abutting upon the streets aforesaid.
SECTION 5. All Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in conflict
with this Ordin&ce, are insofar as they conflict herewith, are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage and approval,
